Vibrodagger

Vibroblades are a common tool, a knife, dagger, or sword of varying length with an ultrasonic mechanism that vibrates the blade faster than the eye can see. This brings the paracarballoy blade to a white hot temperature, and allows it to cut through materials far more easily than a conventional blade. Such weapons can cleave tempered steel as if it were butter.

Many lower tech versions as well as models made for concealment, lack an internal power source, and must be supplied via a plug in the bottom from a portable generator or battery.
