Francisco "Frankie" Bowditch served as a Sergeant in the Anjin Muerto CrMM prior to the Fourth Succession War, where he saw action against a number of Periphery pirate bands, whom he held a special hatred for.

He would be reassigned to reinforce the Fifth Syrtis Fusiliers after their disastrous battle on Sarna, only to be incorporated into Morgan Hasek-Davion's First Kathil Uhlans. He served with distinction in both the defense of Kathil and the raid on Sian.

He would not remain with the unit, and left to build a new company of the Anjin Muerto CrMM, 13th Independent Company, known as "Lucky 13".
