Captain Durant Carlyle was the commanding officer of Carlyle's Commandos. He had been the central figure in his son Grayson's life, particularly after his wife's death in 3019. He was killed during an attack on Trell I.
He was a MechWarrior, and piloted a Phoenix Hawk at the time of his death.[1]
