The TAS Dreadnought, the first true Warship, is launched. It provides the bedrock of a 26 Warship fleet to be created over the next 14 years. (1630p12)

The TAS Venture, the first Jumpship capable of carrying externally mounted Dropships via the Dropship Clamp is launched. Within a decade, they would become prevalent across inhabited space.

Mar: Warming relations between Galedon V and Shiro Kurita’s New Samarkand leadership lead to a meeting during Galedon’s colonial board session. It would result in Shiro assuming leadership of the new Alliance of Galedon. Neighboring planet Dnepropetrovsk joins the burgeoning alliance. (1620p21)

November: Decreasing popularity among wealthy Alliance members leads Shiro to bomb all Ozawa Mercantile Association facilities, to the surprise of both the OMA and the Alliance. (1620p22)

December: Shiro invades nearby, previously neutral planet Sverdlovsk. Lacking even a standing militia, leadership sees no choice but to surrender. He launches a media campaign to convince many nearby worlds to make alliances with his faction. The rest are conquered one by one. (1620p22)

Tenno Kurita, son of Shiro Kurita, is born on New Samarkand. (1620p28)

Jerome Davion is killed on his way home to New Avalon in a jump-courier explosion. (1623p18)

With New Avalon’s Prime Minister without an heir, Lucien Davion, son of Jerome, is appointed Deputy Prime Minister. Lucien marries Marie Fabier around this time. (1623p18)

The Caph Institute of Technology is constructed. (1630p171)

Shiro Kurita assumes total control of the Galedon Alliance. He wastes no time in further interstellar expansion via manipulative diplomacy and espionage. (1620p23)

Martin DuVall dies prematurely in a hunting accident. He is succeeded as Prime Minister of New Avalon by his nephew and current Deputy Prime Minister, Lucien Davion. While technically elected for the position, the choice of Lucien as Prime Minister marks an even more permanent shift to dynastic succession. (1623p13)
