Discord between Dieron and Altair breaks out into violence, only for them to find that their promised protections from Shiro Kurita had been duplicitously made to both of them in order to win their allegiance. September: Shiro Kurita invites the lords of the northeast quadrant to the Council of One summit. After encouraging diplomacy, he arranges for all detractors to be assassinated after exiting the meeting hall. Less than half of the attendees survive. (1620p24)

Most comply, with the exception of the two parties’ leadership and a handful of errant AGM units. McKenna responds accordingly and unleashes naval and marine firepower to wipe them out. July 22: Admiral McKenna issues a proclamation outlining the formation of the Terran Hegemony. (1620p19)

The Hegemony Charter is put into law, creating the Planetary Congresses, Planetary Governors, President of the Hegemony Congress, High Council, and Director-General positions. (1630p14)
